If Tesco needs a famous face to front their next campaign, Kate Beckinsale will be waiting for their call as she’s revealed herself to be a fan of the supermarket chain.

The Pearl Harbor actress spends most of her time living in the US these days but she was clearly missing some home comforts.

In her latest Instagram post, the 50-year-old star revealed how she requested a friend bring over some of her favourite goodies from home in the UK, which apparently included Tesco merchandise.

Kate’s face wasn’t visible in the photos but her legs were unmistakeable as she posed with a pair of long white socks with the Tesco Value logo printed across them. She also wore huge red chunky platform heels, which rested up against a what appeared to be a bed post.

‘@nina_kate thank you for my present from home. Strong urge to go and buy a Bombay bad boy and some firelighters,’ she captioned the images.

One follower joked: ‘I always wear those to Wholefoods,’ while Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha, who has previously replicated one of Kate’s outfits on social media – added: ‘F*****g love this!’

Another one of Kate’s fans quipped: ‘Who knew tesco value socks were a thing.’

‘It’s the socks for me,’ another laughed.

If there’s one thing Kate loves to do, it’s getting into costume as earlier in the week, she had celebrated her pal Nina’s birthday, where they all wore flamboyant princess dresses.

‘Part two of Princess @nina_kate of Camden’s birthday . (There are quite a few parts.),’ she told her followers. ‘Also you’re welcome for @craigminton_ in pantaloons possibly the furthest from south London he has sartorially been in some time.’

The birthday party then headed for a night out at a Boney M concert and Kate managed to find herself backstage where she posed for a photo with the group’s singer Liz Mitchell.

‘This was the sound of my childhood, and they say you shouldn’t meet your heroes but this woman is a talented goddess from heaven and so is her family from her son and daughter down to the littlest grandbaby,’ Kate wrote.

‘We had the most amazing time and I think may have broken our personal jumping record for one day also x thank you for the best night.’

It comes after the Underworld actress unveiled a sweet new tattoo in tribute to her beloved cat Clive, who died earlier this year. Now, as a way of always having her late pet close to her, Kate has added a portrait of him to her arm and explained that getting the ink has helped her grieve.
