Steve Harvey’s wife, Marjorie, has addressed rumors that she cheated on the game show host with their bodyguard and personal chef – insisting that it’s all ‘foolishness and lies.’

Marjorie, 58, who has been married to Steve, 66, since 2007, slammed the accusations in a post shared to her Instagram account on Sunday evening.

She uploaded a screenshot of a website entitled ‘How to handle being lied about,’ which contained a quote from the Bible.

‘When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate,’ it read. ‘When he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.’

'I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are,' she wrote. 'Read and share this with your love ones that may not know how to properly cope. God bless all of you'

‘My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given, much is required,’ she wrote.

Hours earlier, Steve angrily set the record straight about the subject while speaking at Invest Fest 2023 in Atlanta on Sunday.

He told the crowd, ‘Before I get started, just let me say, I’m fine. Marjorie’s fine. I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do ’cause we fine.

‘Lord have mercy. Man. I ain’t got no time for rumors and gossip. God’s been good to me, I’m still shining.’

Rumors that Marjorie had been involved in an affair with Steve’s security erupted on Twitter last week, but it’s unclear where they originally came from.

The couple first met back in 1990 at a comedy club and started dating – but they quickly went their separate ways.

‘I knew he was the one shortly after I started [dating] him… but then he just left. Disappeared,’ Marjorie told Essence magazine in 2014.

They reconnected in 2005, however, and this time things were different. They quickly fell in love, and two years later, they became husband and wife.

According to the comedian, it was his bodyguard that convinced him to get back in contact with Marjorie.

‘He told me, “Look, the only time I’ve ever seen you happy was when you were with that woman Marjorie. Now, before you go and do something stupid and marry another woman, I’m calling her,”‘ Steve recalled to People.

‘It was like being reborn. I messed up so many times in my life. She made all the difference. When you’re happy at home, you can make a lot of things happen.’

Upon their marriage, the TV star adopted Marjorie’s three children from her previous relationship: Lori, Morgan, and Jason.

Before saying ‘I do’ to his current wife, the Family Feud alum was previously married to Mary Shackelford from 1996 until 2005. They share one son, named Wynton.

His first marriage was to Marica Harvey from 1981 to 2004. They welcomed twins, named Brandi and Karli, as well as a son named Broderick.

Back in 2012, Steve gushed to People about how Marjorie ‘changed the way he existed.’

‘She changed the way I existed. I’d never been in a healthy adult relationship. I’d never been loyal, I’d never been fully respected,’ he said.

She added, ‘We’re best friends. It’s the first time either of us has had someone we can talk to about everything.’

Marjorie has also spoken out about how they blended their enormous family, telling the outlet in 2016, ‘When you’re dealing with a blended family, everyone is coming from a place of broken.

‘We knew this was right. But I just told them, “Everyone is included. Everyone has access to their parents. Whatever you didn’t have before, don’t let that interfere with what you can have now.” Now, we’re mom and dad to everybody.’
